Watershed Science Day
Choccolocco Creek Watershed Conservancy District, in partnership with Oxford City Schools, Hope Christian Academy, and Cheaha Home School,
organized a transformative day of outdoor learning at Choccolocco Park for over 125 students. This event inspired the next generation of conservation stewards through hands-on environmental education.
Students explored various learning stations focusing on our natural world, forests, water, and wildlife. Each station provided practical insights into conservation and highlighted career paths in this important field of study. By understanding and applying what they learned, students examined how they can positively impact conservation efforts.
